What makes people stop at this peaceful village surrounded by paddy fields just for a glass of Badam Milk and soft Paal Bun? And why do food lovers head to Nenmara late at night for steaming hot idlis? Let’s find out together.
In this episode of Food N Travel, we begin our journey at Gokulam Bakes, Thathamangalam, a bakery that has quietly become one of the reasons why this locality is now attracting food lovers. We enjoyed their refreshing Badam Milk, soft Paal Bun, Pudding Cake, Coffee and crunchy Murukku while enjoying the cool drizzling weather.
From there, we travelled to Nenmara for a late-night food stop. We randomly walked into a small idli shop run by Vijay and his father, where fresh hot idlis were coming straight from the steamer. We tried their Idli, Parotta, Chicken Curry, Beef Curry, Omelette and Chutney. The combination of soft idlis with chutney and their fluffy omelette turned out to be the highlight of the night.

Hello Ebbin. Just a quick one. What i dont like or hate is food served on such plastic or soft sheets which is totally spoiling quality of food. A suggestion is why can't all food spots serve on a plantain leaf instead of unhealthy things like this. My sincere request is to educate people in a way they get it right to serve on plantain leaves our traditional vazhai ella
