I don't like how much has changed since the pandemic happened I know that change is normal and there's nothing we can do about it but just because the silly virus that had 199.9% survival rating tried to mess up the world doesn't mean that everything that was normal before changes and never goes back Vegas is not going to last forever if they only cater to rich people there are less rich people in the world than there are common middle class and poor people This idea that there are enough people to continue your business model is crazy because even if these people only get 10 patrons they're still not gonna make enough money to make the rent.
It's pretty suspicious the "Pandemic" favored the rich more than any other demographic.
They were able to turn every loss into a financial win.

i think a lot of people forget that las vegas is not the strip. real people live there. it's their home. they commute to work and just do regular stuff that has nothing to do with casinos and never did. it's those people getting royally fucked over by the tourism-centric price hikes. vegas used to be an affordable place to live and work. and then market crashes and a decimation of the middle class meant that fewer and fewer people gambled (at least, fewer made a whole trip out of it), so the strip had to make up the difference… in food sales. tourists, disgusted at the insane pricing, just scooted a little further out to the rest of the city for food. those vendors then realized they could jack up prices and tourists would still pay them, since they were still cheaper compared to the strip. thus the hyperinflation crisis hitting the las vegas food scene. who gives a shit about the tourists? it's the schoolkids going hungry, and that's the part that should horrify people

It makes sense that a place like that isnt surviving a paradigm meant for the upper class, who are probably more interested in fancy/classy restaurants instead of places like this. I think thats the real reason and what he really means when talking about the greed in Vegas. Now that its inconveniencing them, and theyre being forced to move somewhere else.
