My favorite color is green, so naturally I painted the walls *and* the ceiling green. Will it make a room look smaller? Absolutely. Will it make it feel cozy, dramatic, and deliciously moody? Also absolutely.
I wanted an ode to Tony Duquette, a room with a bit of glamour, a bit of drama, and zero interest in being subtle. Flanked by the airy living room and kitchen, this dining room was always going to feel more intimate. Rather than fight it, I went all in. Add in a fabulous chandelier and one of my mum’s stunning paintings and the vibe is complete.
And what emerged was a formal dining room that feels like a secret surprise, a glamorous little jewel box tucked inside the house.

I personally would’ve went for an even darker moodier green, but this looks very nice and bold
