  1. Hi Brooke! I just want to let you know that you are my FAVORITE southern mama that sure can cook! I LOVE all your yummy recipes! They are so delicious and very budget friendly. Thank you for all you do for us who are struggling in these hard times. ❤❤

  2. Your husband closes his eyes, when he eats your meals showing he truly enjoys your cooking. Its endearing. 😊

  3. As always, I love your ideas. Now that it’s summer it would be fun to see some of your comparison videos when you show a budget meal with just what you get from the store for $5 vs the same meal jazzed up with stuff from the garden.

  4. Thanks this helps alot. With everything still going up,power, gas, meds etc.this helps ppl like me that's on a fixed-income…Thanks from SOUTH Carolina..❤❤❤❤

  5. I make a roasted vegtable sauce with whatever vegtables I have. I just roast in the oven. Great over pasta and eggs, but also can be thinned for soup. Freezes great too.

  6. I appreciate you doing these videos!
I try to make meals as cheap as possible, in bulk, so I can freeze. I am gluten free so gluten free ingredients are a lot more expensive. But I go without any bakery items. I don’t buy bread. I house sit and look after peoples pets, I take my own food, and make multiple bulk meals to last me from a few weeks to over a month.

  7. Just made the zucchini tomato pasta! Def gotta use salt but it was tasty! Thanks for something different! Now to get my picky hubby and son to taste it lol if not more for me!😂🤷‍♀️

  8. I wonder what Dusty would look like w/out his beard?
    Or even trimmed short?
    I bet even younger.
    Would ❤ to see!😊

  9. Thank you southern frugal Mom . When Im by myself I eat like peanut butter sandwich or simple things like water melon for a couple meals but when my grandkids come I want something good like this.

  10. Oh I bet adding some bacon grease to the zucchini tomatoes and onions would be good! I'm going to try it one time like that too. 👍🏼

  11. Ooh some beef Tallow would be good to cook the zucchini tomatoes and onions in! It's $1.50 at Dollar Tree for beef tallow.

  12. Please do more pasta dishes like the one you made with the zucchini’s there’s one one I make.

You cook the pasta and reserve some water I usually use penne

I get all the garlic out of a bulb and crush it or chop really small in a bowl and cover with olive oil

Then I cut up zucchini to half moons and season with salt pepper garlic powder.

I fry up the zucchini (any any veggies I may have getting ready to go that I know I won’t use I love this also with tomato, mushrooms and spinach leftovers) till it’s how soft I like it remove from the pan add the garlic and oil to the pan and once the garlic is fragrant I add in a can of white beans and heat them then I add in the pasta and zucchini and mix it all up and season to taste. Then I add in some Parmesan cheese on top and put a plate over the bowl I’m serving it in just so the partisan melts.

I know it doesn’t seem seasoned but it’s very garlicky and if you want you can add some seasonings.

My husband goes crazy over this especially if I have some shaved Brussels sprouts in it or fresh green beans. And he’s 100% a meat eater and usually will complain if I don’t have some meat on the plate but he usually doesn’t complain when I make this. However occasionally I’ll make some chicken legs to have on the side or pan fry some seasoned chicken breasts.
