In this video, I tried some of LA’s lowest-rated restaurants, all known for receiving 1-star reviews. The aim wasn’t to bash the businesses, but to experience them for myself and see whether they really deserved their reputations or if the reviews were too harsh.
I visited Greco’s Pizzeria in Hollywood, Du-par’s at the Original Farmers Market, The Ivy on North Robertson Boulevard, and Pizza Loca in Santa Ana. I also went looking for the Buffalo Wild Wings in Hollywood, only to discover it had closed down. Were the bad reviews justified, or were these restaurants better than expected?

The Ivy is priced as a great restaurant, but the food is chain. Bonefish is better. Outback is better. Entrees should be under $25.
Santa Ana is not really LA just for the record. Great video though.
I've learned from traveling that usually online ratings correspond to whatever school grading systems are. A 4/5 in America is a lot worse than a 4/5 in London. The reason is american's automatically translate that in their head to a low B average and associate with mediocrity. 4/5 in the UK is a good mark in schools.
Very normally put a slice of fruit on breakfast plates in America and up here in Canada 😂

Way overpriced all around but I suppose when you go to popular places that's what happens (I live in Northern Cal). I would have definitely asked for a new coffee cup, not that nasty dirty one. Thanks Harrison!

To be fair, that area of Santa Ana is a working class neighborhood and the pizza is just something cheap and quick.

The U.S. is huge, you should get around. Oklahoma steak, Texas bbq, Louisiana for Cajun and Creole.
Knife and fork pizza? Any pizza is that if you use a knife and fork. In America, all pizza is hands-on, utensil-free. Even Chicago deep dish pizza.

I looked it up. Dupar's still somehow as an A rating. How it has an A boggles the mind – that cup alone warrants a B rating. Gross.
Places like Greco's only exist because of unassuming tourists who wander in from Hollywood Blvd. $11 for a slice of shit pizza. You can get an entire large one topping pizza at Papa Johns for the same price.
