5 Houston Restaurants That Are Perfect for Solo Dining

Solo dining in Houston 👌🏽

These are 5 of my favorite spots to eat alone in Houston, whether I want something quick and casual, healthy, or an actual sit-down meal.

1. Goldie’s Wings & Rice
Vietnamese-inspired wings that are ridiculously crispy, paired with fried rice. It’s tucked inside a gas station and is one of my favorite casual solo meals.
📍 18691 Clay Rd, Houston, TX 77084

2. Mensho
One of my favorite ramen spots in Houston. They make their noodles in-house, with everything from rich tori paitan ramen to some pretty unique specialty bowls.
📍 9889 Bellaire Blvd, Ste C308, Houston, TX 77036

3. Craft Pita
One of my go-tos when I want something a little healthier. The menu has hummus, baba ganoush, rotisserie chicken, shawarma, falafel, pita sandwiches, salads, bowls and platters.
📍 1920 Fountain View Dr, Houston, TX 77057

4. Handroll Bars
Probably one of the best formats for solo dining. Sit at the counter and eat each handroll right after it’s made while the nori is still crispy.

My favorites:
📍 Handies Douzo: 3510 White Oak Dr, Houston, TX 77007
📍 Kira: 2800 Kirby Dr, Ste B-128, Houston, TX 77098
📍 Koyo: 1835 N Shepherd Dr, Ste B2, Houston, TX 77008

5. Bludorn
The bar is one of my favorite spots for Sunday brunch and watching Texans games. You still get Bludorn’s French-inspired Gulf Coast cooking instead of typical sports bar food.
📍 807 Taft St, Houston, TX 77019

🍦 HONORABLE MENTION: Underground Creamery
Pick up one of their small-batch pints, go home, put on a show and be a big back in peace. 😂
📍 1010 N Shepherd Dr, Houston, TX 77008
