No, I have a separate set of cookware and plates for my guests that require restrictions for cooking. If someone came here and told me what to eat I would laugh in their face.
Husband is either crazy or controlling or an asshole. Can't decide.
That man child is the problem not the Mil
This is stupid
I can assure you that when they are guests in MIL’s house she still isn’t allowed to eat meat.
BS! HUSBAND IS THE AH
OP isn't trying to force her MIL to eat meat. So why is the MIL trying to force OP to not eat it? Respect is a two way street!
Husband needs a spine
I know plenty of vegans who cook meat for their families and even sell meat products. So this seems like it's your husband who has the issue, not MIL.
OP should speak to her MIL instead of her husband. Something is being lost in “translation” and the MIL might not have any issues.
If my husband cleaved back with his mother over me after I just gave birth…. Would show me the biggest problem in the house is not mil.
It sounds like it's the husband? Am I wrong?
Who is more valuable to him?
The mom and husband should be accommodating the wife who just had the baby not the other way around
If you don't want me to eat what I want it's time for you to go home. Some vegetarian and vegans need to know it's MY CHOICE to eat whatever I want. Just like you can choose what you want to eat. It's also my home and you will NOT be staying here every year. Thanks for your help. BYE BYE 😊
The person with the food restrictions gets the disposable plates. I mean, the meat contamination would already be on the plates by that logic, if they assume the meat residue stays on the plate. Or bring your own if its that big of a deal.
Throw them both out and eat your dang chicken in peace
NTA…half your house too, eat what you want! Husband is not on your side, and he needs to grow a set!
Let MIL buy her own cutlery and plates and pots and cook from them
If my mother or MIL invited themselves to my house for three months a year I would be moving without leaving the new address.
Mil has to go.
Your MIL can eat whatever she wants, as can you. Your husband should respect you. Instead he's chosen to enable his mom.
NO YOUR NOT
It's your house wth
