  1. You can buy all of those ingredients for $45 and make that at home. One plate for that is a no sir. If I go to any eatables no matter the race and see that I can make it at home I will not go back. I’d never complain about the price if I went to a place knowing the price and still paid though. If I found it wasn’t worth it I’d just keep my thought to myself and not go back.

  2. He's smart because people like blowing their money on expensive stuff. I be eating ramen noodles and Culvers with 30k in my savings account. 😂😅

  3. Common sense, regardless a peach cobbler waffle shouldn't be over 20
    Maybe 15 or 17.99 with a side or two….

  4. Was talking about this with my brother yesterday. I hate to think like this but it's not only the prices that will not work it will boil down to the fact some of us black folks can't act right

  5. We’re in a bad economy. Is he stupid???! This isn’t about supporting black owned business. He shouldn’t be charging those prices to begin with. Hope that bullshit closes down.

  6. I don’t think this is that bad tbh. The plain Jane being $15 is too expensive but the specialty waffles are worth their price especially if they dress them up nice. I’d buy a strawberry shortcake 🍰 🧇

  7. I don't care how many different flavors he has for those waffles. I'm not paying $45 for some waffles. I don't care if it has chicken on the side.

  8. Nah fam you can’t over tax your own. Waffle houses been the goat of waffles for years and they only tax 5.50 for a waffle. you gotta set your price point relative to the cost and labor. Ppl complain about overpriced steaks because we compare the price and quality on previous experiences.

  9. At $45, I would expect some seafood or steak with it. Greens, macaroni and yams? Hell naw. Can't be me, but somebody will buy it.

  10. Wrong argument. Very few black folks will go to even a white establishment to pay 15 dollars for a waffle. Man yhall need to save that played out ahs sht we heard it ALL BEFORE. thats why they give dudes like you a platform. Dude that is something that anybody would talk about. Dude said this on another clip "get off his dk and be realistic"

  11. L TAKE!!! Stop indiscriminately using the racial plight card. Those prices are ridiculous for a WAFFLE spot. Waffles are cheap. It's flour and water, essentially.

  12. So im be boo boo da fool bc you black? Im not buying that shit no matter what color he is

  13. If it's going to be $45.00 it has to be high end in a high end area with phenomenal service. This area located between Graham St and Statesville Ave on Atando. Mr Charles chicken and fish is way more affordable.

  14. Every hood the same and from the looks of the location this spot looks like it’s in the straight hood. But once the hype settles down those prices will adjust.

  15. We are talking about Cornmeal Waffles bag of cornmeal is 3.50… add sum flavor, 3 simple sides and 2 WINGETTE 1 DRUMMETTE…. $45?? HOOOOW??? I'M Convinced Ppl Will Buy Anything… Lil Mom and Pop places with better quality and quantity are cheaper than that … Breakfast food should never be the same prices as a dinner… Soul food or soul taker???

  16. Some black restaurants hide the fact that gratuity is already included in the bill. Red Rice, in Atlanta, got five star prices and no where to sit in a store on the side of a fkg gas station!!!! I spent $70 and had to eat it in the car, sht dripping all in the bag! NEVER WENT BACK!! The more I type the angrier I get with black establishments. Shout out to The Beverly in Atlanta though. Then there’s a smoked turkey leg joint in Riverdale that’s $20 a leg, no side, no drink and sht dripping all in the bag….. ok ok I’m gone.

  17. I hate that dumbass argument “you’ll spend it with them white folks”, acting like black owned businesses aren’t charging the most out of everybody.

Show me a white owned breakfast spot charging these prices.

First Watch is a big brunch spot here in Atlanta, slightly better quality than his restaurant is, and you’d get 2 full meals with drinks for the price of one of his waffles.
