Berlin’s Most Unusual Fine Dining? 6 Courses at Nobelhart & Schmutzig ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช

A Berlin restaurant where they tell you to put your phone away! ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช

Welcome to Nobelhart & Schmutzig, an unconventional fine dining restaurant in Berlin where everything is sourced within 150 kilometres.

We experienced a six-course tasting menu around an open kitchen, featuring:

๐Ÿž Brotzeit: Rye sourdough by Florian Domberger, butter, herb cheese and ferments.

๐Ÿ… Tomato / Herbs: Heirloom tomatoes and nasturtium leaf.

๐Ÿฅ” Potato / Braised Cucumber: Potato mousse, shaved cucumber and dill.

๐Ÿฆ† Duck / Chicory / Cherry: Pink duck, roasted chicory and fermented cherries.

๐Ÿ Pear / Hops: Roasted pear and hops cream.

๐Ÿฎ Cream Puff / Juniper: A final dessert eaten by hand.

The experience costs โ‚ฌ120โ€“140 per person, including water. There are only 28 seats, counter dining, no ร  la carte menu and a remarkable 187-page drinks list.
