These cookies are very easy to prepare and perfect to share with my colleagues over the holidays.

Ingredients (12 servings)

50 gbutter
50 ghoney
50 gsugar
0.5orange (zest)
0.5lemon (zest)
1 pinchsalt
30 gpeanuts (chopped)
60 galmonds (sliced)
chocolate ganache (optional)
coarse sea salt (optional)

This delicious coffee with a hint of chocolate is the perfect combination to your crispy Florentines.

Step 1

Florentines

Preheat oven to 190°C/375°F. Melt butter, honey, and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent burning. Zest orange and lemon into saucepan, add a pinch of salt, and stir to combine. Remove from heat.

50 g butter / 50 g honey / 50 g sugar / 0.5 orange / 0.5 lemon / 1 pinch salt

Step 2

Florentines

Stir in chopped peanuts and sliced almonds.

30 g peanuts / 60 g almonds

Step 3

Florentines

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Use a spatula to spread mixture into a thin rectangle. Transfer to preheated oven and bake at 190°C/375°F for approx. 10 – 15 min.

Cut into even triangles while still warm. If desired, garnish with chocolate ganache and salt. Enjoy!
