Cranberry cider

Hot cider, with the tartness I love in cranberries, warm with cinnamon and cloves. This drink always tells me that autumn with all its bounty is here for good.

750 mlapple cider
600 mlcranberry juice
1lemon (juice)
15 gbrown sugar
1 stickcinnamon
1 tbspcranberries (dried)

Cranberries, cinnamon and carrot are a great pairing; in addition, the tartness of the drink counteracts the richness of the cake.

Step 1

Cranberry cider

Juice lemon and add juice to large saucepan. Add apple cider, cranberry juice, brown sugar, cloves, and cinnamon. Simmer over low heat for approx. 15 – 20 min.

Cranberry cider

Remove cinnamon and cloves. Add cranberries and serve while hot.
