    If and when you go back to Lancaster go to Dienner's Country Restaurant Buffet. It's much smaller than Shady Maples, but the food is outstanding.

    I have yet to have a great experience at an Amish restaurant. It’s usually just okay. I’ve only been up in Northern Ohio and Indiana though.

    I have family in Pennsylvania, and yeah, Amish cooking and snacks are a world of their own. The praise was deserving of the quality, their homemade spreads (like jelly) are awesome, too. All of it is, honestly, and shows you how good mostly unprocessed products can be (and we should have MORE of).

    I’m boring and raised in a small town called Lititz. I’m 10 minutes from there. I’ve been going to green dragon and roots since I was like one years old 29 sandwich shady maple Yoders Greenhills Hoover’s Oregon dairy.

    I love Shady Maple Buffet/smorgasbord. If you go on your birthday, it’s free.
    My family goes once a year for someone’s birthday.
    I love the Harvard Beets there.
    My family likes to go once a Tuesday which is Surf and Turf night. Prime rib or steak and seafood.

    Well, you know why the Amish shoe is so good cause they don’t doctored it up with crap it’s homemade heat and you hit it on the nail everything we do in America. It’s too much sugar too much of everything and we don’t do it right no more because we don’t care although I’m not we I do care but I’ll tell you this America’s literally killing itself for the food that we eat because we don’t demand better one person can’t change, but if the entire country would demand better, you would have better but you don’t care so that being said we keep eating the crap that we keep getting fed anyway I live in Ohio, but I’ve always wanted to get over to Lancaster because there’s a nice big buffet over there

    That’s funny you mentioned Subway that sub that you’re eating believe it or not back in the 90s subway used to make their sandwiches like that and they actually looked that good and they actually tasted that good heck everything 30 or 40 years ago tasted a lot better than it does today it was real food. It wasn’t generic prefab or somehow made from nothing to become something. The food was much better 30 or 40 years ago and yes, shady maple is the place I was talking about.

    Having been to a couple Amish weddings, I can tell you the experience is nothing like an "English" wedding. And if you leave hungry, that's your own fault.
