  1. I just found this channel and everything looks incredible but THIS is what I'm most excited to attempt to cook so far. What an absolutely gorgeous dinner…pearl onions and mushrooms would be amazing in it too!! Gruyere cheese sounds perfect. Can't wait to try to make it

  2. Haaaahaaa!!!! Here In the UK if made with beef we call it cottage pie…if it is made with lamb it is called shepherd's pie…for obvious reasond. No big deal.

  3. It is impossible for me to make this but I love watching your videos over and over. I dream of one day having your food sent to my home. Love, Stacy from Fl

  4. Why throw away the vegetables you cooked with the beef if you are going to cook the same vegetables to add the beef into? Wasteful. I think I prefer the practical British version.

  5. One trick I learned from Alton Brown…. White wine will be less bitter afterwards. My stews are 💯 better since I switched to a Pinot Grigio or other white wine.

  6. I don’t know what the French words were, but I’m going to make this some day. Looks awesome. I’ve never cooked with winter. I won’t be able to say that much longer…

  8. Looks wonderful. For Canadians, “chuck” is called blade roast, or pot roast cut. I had to look it up. Love your recipes. Thanks. My grandmother was France-French. She would approve.
