$6 Street Food vs $600 Fine Dining | Lima Food Tour

Lima is known for having some of the best food in the world, so I set out to experience Peruvian cuisine at three very different price points: a $6 street food meal, a $60 hands-on cooking class, and a $600 fine dining tasting at Central, once named the best restaurant in the world. From local ceviche and market food to learning how to make lomo saltado and pisco sours, I explored how culture, immigration, and tradition shape Peru’s incredible flavors. I also tried iconic dishes like alpaca and guinea pig, sharing my honest reactions along the way. While some luxury courses impressed me, the most expensive meal wasn’t necessarily the best. This journey proves that in Peru, unforgettable food experiences can be found at every budget.
