29 year old Corpo Chef here. 100% on them. I bet they didn’t really learn nothing, yes it must be super impressive to have that on the resume. Bourdain said it best “love cooking? Put a year in at Applebees” those stars mean nothing when the head chef and owner take all the credit.
People can do that if they want, but i don't want to eat at places that don't pay their workers. Do i get the labour taken away from the price? Nope, straight to the restaurants owner is where that unpaid labour is going

If you work for free, that’s on you. But it’s stupid. Labor of any kind should be compensated.
