WATCH: Trump welcomes Japanese prime minister for White House dinner
President Donald Trump hosted Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi for a dinner at the White House on Thursday. While delivering remarks, Trump called the leader a “great friend and partner.” He also touted the recent trade deal brokered between the two nations. Through an interpreter, Takaichi also called her and Trump “best buddies.” Earlier in the day, the two held a bilateral meeting in the Oval Office.
