  1. LOL… When we're in the mood for fried rice, we call it cheap Chinese. When we want dim sum or better high end chinese, we say let's go for xxxx.

  2. I think there are certain Chinese dishes that generally should be affordable, but others that can be very expensive!! Like say Kung Pao Chicken, or like other chinese takeout specials should NOT be super expensive. It is a spectrum!!

  3. I grew up eating Chinese food 5-6 days a week. Have tried every Chinese restaurant near China town.
    Always thought the food was way too cheap.

  4. Yes, the normal every-day-take-out should be cheap.

    BUT…..the speciality dishes may cost a pretty dollar !!! I'd gladly pay for the short ribs and the lobster…and the crispy duck….ok, yeah ALL of the shown dishes !! (Hold the deserts though, no sweets for me)
