24H of ITALIAN FOOD in Bologna – From Pasta to Meatballs
*Join us as we spend 24 unforgettable hours in Bologna* discovering the city’s most iconic food spots—from legendary street food to traditional pasta and hidden local gems.
*MÒ! MORTADELLA LAB*
We kick off our 24 hours in Bologna at MÒ! Mortadella Lab, the perfect place to dive straight into the city’s most iconic street food. Freshly baked bread filled generously with thinly sliced mortadella creates a simple yet unforgettable panino, delicious and generous bite on the go.
*TRATTORIA DALL’OLIO*
Next, we head to Trattoria Dall’Olio for a true Bolognese classic. Here we enjoy Tagliatelle al Ragù—known worldwide as Pasta alla Bolognese—made the traditional way, rich and deeply flavorful. Alongside it, we try incredibly delicious, tender meatballs that perfectly showcase the heart of local home-style cooking.
*LE SFOGLINE*
The next day begins with a quick but essential stop at Le Sfogline. In just several minutes, you can witness the famous pasta ladies skillfully crafting handmade tortellini. This small spot is legendary for its daily fresh pasta, which locals proudly take home to cook themselves.
*TIGELLINO*
Breakfast takes us to Tigellino, a charming little shop specializing in tigelle—small, round sandwiches filled with a variety of tasty ingredients. It’s a light but flavorful way to start the day, and a must-try traditional snack in Bologna.
*SALUMERIA SIMONI*
We then stop by Salumeria Simoni, a paradise for food lovers. Surrounded by hanging Italian hams and massive wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, this place is a feast for the eyes as much as for the taste buds, showcasing the incredible richness of Italian deli culture.
*RAMACIOTTO*
For lunch, we visit Ramaciotto, where everything revolves around fresh, handmade pasta. The chef prepares it right in front of you, cooks it on the spot, and serves it simply on a paper plate. Despite its humble presentation, this is some of the best pasta you’ll ever eat, in a lively atmosphere full of locals and energy.
*OSTERIA DEL SOLE*
Next is Osteria del Sole, founded in 1465 and the oldest still-standing establishment in Bologna. They don’t serve food, but they do serve plenty of wine. With its relaxed, authentic vibe, it’s a favorite among locals—and visitors too. You can even bring your own food, which makes the experience even more unique.
*M LA GELATERIA ARTIGIANALE*
Dessert time brings us to M La Gelateria Artigianale, where we cool down with some delicious gelato. With a wide variety of flavors and creative options, it’s a refreshing stop and a chance to try something new.
*HOSTARIA SAN CARLINO*
Hidden in a quiet side street, Hostaria San Carlino is the perfect place to end the day. For dinner, we go all in with Tortellini in Brodo and an outstanding Cotoletta alla Bolognese, paired with local wine. It’s the perfect finale to an unforgettable food journey through Bologna.

OMG I have wanted to visit Bologna for two reasons; First to visit Bologna University to see how many stemmi from family members I can find. Second, to see if I can trace my Maffei ancestors from 1498 deeper into the past. And now a third, to taste the food you have just described. Thank you! Grazie mille.
Toooo goood. Excellent cuisine. Great video. Billion galactic thanks. Have a great day always. SALUT 🍺🥩

❤ Yes, it was love that kept Him on that cross, that made Him go trough horrible torture, at any moment, only with a thought He at any moment, with just a thought or a glance, he could have struck anyone down; he could have said "enough," but he didn't. I'll add a detail that can be gleaned from private revelations to mystics of the Church: Jesus told Luisa Piccarreta that the Passion the Jews made him suffer, the one visible to us all, the one we see in the movies, was NOTHING compared to what he suffered in Gethsemane at the hands of love and our sin. There, he suffered everything at once, in his most intimate parts, something the Jews could not do to him: a death for every sin, a death for each of our deaths. There's much more, but those interested can delve deeper into it with "The 24 Hours of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ." Only a God-man could have gone through this; no human could have.
the smaller the menu, the better the food
I can assure you the pesto di Modena in the tigelle is in fact not vegan: it's lard with a sprinkle of parmigiano and spices. Nothing to do with pesto alla Genovese… Awesome though, my fist choise any time
I love how you gave us a glimpse of the touristy spot, but kept it moving back to more of the low-key local places. My kind of guy lol. Absolutely love the Emilia-Romagna region❤😋
Viva Italy 🇮🇹!

Italiens reviewing italien food just feels right. Amazing, thank you.
Why is it to your "surprise", that there is a "ragazza-chef", I don't understand….
But besides that it is a beautiful video…would so much love now to go to Italy…
amzing country….amzing people….amazing food…amazing culture…amazing everything… 😉
Boa noite aqui no Brasil 🎉🎉
Estou adorando seu vídeo ❤❤❤❤
Comidas típicas e deliciosas ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
"M"❤❤❤❤❤
It saddens me to see that in Italy and not only in Italy they eat mostly sandwiches, burgers and french fries in most cafes. You have to go to a restaurant or a rare point where they cook something else of a local cuisine. Soups are almost extinct.
In Italia ne sappiamo molto di Cibo😅😅 ed Ogni Regione A la sua specialità..Buon viaggio nel gusto.
Oh My Goodness!!! This is my first time seeing you and I am so jealous that I am not eating EVERYTHING you have eaten? I just subscribed!❤😊
boun appetitto ale!!!
6.50 euros / 7.55 USD for the mortadella sandwich?! You don't even get a footlong subway sandwich for that much in the US with crap ingredients, let alone with such fresh and variety of ingredients!! That sandwich would easily be $15+ in the US. What a SHAME!! US sucks man!
bon appetito, ciao tutti .
Looks better than Olive Garden. 😛
Don't tell me that this chef is a delivery boy as well 20:57
Oh, my. I almost grabbed a fork and tried to reach a sample from your plate. Everything looked so delicious. You seem to enjoy these amazing foods more than anyone I have ever seen. I wish I was in Bologna.
Thank you….tomorrow i will fly to Bologna ❤
The regionalism in "Italian" food is so extreme.
My family is Sicilian and I've been to Italy three times and still don't know half of it.
