Amazing video good to see ya doing well all the best from across the pond
Rip off Britain. How does anyone live there?
Personally Osaka (the chain) in the UK is good I find. Itβs pricy but the sushi is good and the ramen is better than Wagamama
So glad to know Ippudo is still good outside of Japan! I will definitely go next time I'm in NYC – I've missed them.
6:01 Nissan Fairlady in the background
I remember, some… 2-3 years ago? I tried sushi in Plymouth. Told my family it was a bad idea but they insisted.
I don't know what the heck the did to the fish but it was *tough*. I'm not the biggest sushi fan but I enjoy most stuff we get in Canada here. That, I couldn't even finish the piece. I can say basically everything in this video looks better. Not to say it's good but… Yeah that was a bad day.
bring natski to England or Canada
Anemic is a good word for those noodles
Well there is a valid reason why there is this food stereotype why food in Britain is Not Tasty Enough or rather Not Quite Satisfying. 23:13 Love this Quote. Just Eat. Dont have time with "Veg" or some Nonsense humans
Oh god Itsu is AWFUL.
I think it's not super uncommon for shops that specialize in spicy ramen to have cilantro as a topping option. I usually add it if it's an option.
I had "ramen" in Glasgow last summer that were not even ramen. The soup was water, the "ramen" were pasta, the pork was streaky bacon. I am not exaggerating. It was a total con. Thankfully I found a Chinese place that did half-decent niu ro tang mien a couple of days later. Chinese food is probably in a sorrier state than Japanese food in The UK. Most of the "Chinese" places sell food no Chinese person has ever eaten.
Chiaki!!! I missed her appearing in the channel…
UK has not disappointed me in terms of making bad food ππππ
22 quid for Ramen!!!! Holy shit. Those prices are insane. Your right Japanese in aus is pretty good and not that expensive but still more then Japan
Ramen with beef instead of pork seems like a huge improvement to me
12:45 nice sunset! Gorgeous shot!
This foreigner seems a bit out of place. Good thing Chiaki was there to help you navigate the UK.
Wagamama's gyoza looked genuinely depressing.
$40 (Canadian) for a bowl of ramen? FUCK THAT!!! Remind me NEVER to visit the U.K. for Japanese food!
Going to the UK in August so this is actually helpful for me
tick tock gaijin. how long have you lived in Japan and how proficient are you in the language? π
I wonder why Chris, being lefthanded, almost always sits to the left of the screen? When he's eating with a righthanded person, it always looks cramped and uncomfortable for both parties.
The marugame udon in Los Angeles is $18.21 + tax for the noodles and the sides are $3 to $8.
Ramen and stuff in Australia is pretty similarly scuffed for pricing vs Japan, but honestly the one thing that makes me okay with the pricing is I compared my hourly pay in Japan to what I make now and it balanced out to being a lot closer in price.
Still, at least I can get a cheap bowl of udon in my area
Price difference is surely just the result of insane rents and higher wages, coupled with the fact that these places aren't doing the amount of daily orders like they would in Japan since its not something that the average person is going to have once a week or fortnight etc
Sucks as a customer and it probably spirals the problem further (more expensive meaning people will have it less often which probably means more frequent price rises so people will have it even less etc)
Well u brits dont like national food. Ur most famous indian dish isnt a indian recipie.
As an Englishman, the japanese food is bad, the mobile data is rubbish, and the roads are worse to drive on than a bloody dirt rally track π. At least there's nature and apparently the food is slowly getting better π€
