The underground economy in restaurants no one knows about is fascinating 😍 #restaurantlife

  1. Is it just me or is this not a side-eye moment. That lady totally hijacked the other servers (projected) tip. She knew you, and by now she knew how generous you were. That seems kind of shady no? I feel like she gave him $15 to potentially turn around and make $50 on her end. I ain’t knocking the hustle, but… kind of gave me the ick. Love your videos too!

  2. This sounds exactly like something that would happen at bistro huddy (if you know that channel you get it)

  3. I live in Raleigh… I wish I knew what restaurant this was because it sounds like they have great service and I want to show them some love! 🤪🌮🔥

  4. How much longer did you have to wait for the wait person who wanted you? It seems unfair to the other servers, and if it was a long wait, unfair to you. Short wait– no foul.

  5. Girl 100% this is true. I worked at Chilis for years and would use our parent company discount to go out to Maggianos. Around the time our son was 1-4 years old. The servers and bartenders would fight over who got us because they knew my discount wasn’t good on alcohol and my husband and I both drink top shelf but they also knew if my son was problematic or making a mess I would handle it and always tipped 50%+ because my food discount more than covered me tipping it. I had one server do so well during Covid and I knew she was struggling so my husband and I tipped her 200% and her manager called my store to make sure I hadn’t screwed up and put an extra zero😂 take car of us and we will ALWAYS take care of you❤

  6. I used to work at a 24-hour diner and there was this older waitress who used to always say oh, that's my regular. Oh no that's my regular and she take a table from you. On her nights off we realized why she was doing it. It's because they were good tippers. The funny thing about it is is that we all shared tips so it didn't matter. But she just wanted the bragging rights of having brought in the most money in tips.

  7. I recommend watching Bistro Huddy. He (and his wife) have this whole collection of restaurant workers and their guests. Funny! And the servers def have side deals going.

  8. I’m with you!!! Someone’s offering to pay me to take one of my tables… no thank you!! There’s a GOOD REASON why you’re offering to pay ME to take a table… and now… I gotta find out why personally!!!! 🤣🤣🤣

  9. I didn't pay but I overly offered to take a huge party that came in knowing that they clean as they dine like I do and the children were little ones were always great and the family ALWAYS TIPPED SO GOOD no matter the size of their party from 2 to 14+ She caught on l

  10. I was a hostess at a restaurant for 3 weeks… I absolutely hated it! The waiters were cool but the waitresses were so catty… I'm allergic to marijuana and they all smoked it before and after work… I didn't want to make problems… but when they accused me of doing something I know I didn't do… I won't do that again

  11. I mean I would ask for you too ngl but I wouldn’t pay. The places I use to work people were lazy so they were happy to give up tables 🤣 they would let me have your table without a second thought

  12. Normal in different section they just swap a table out then having customer wait for them. Manager not going get involved with upset customers. One manger came up to us and said if your service was bad let me know or if anything was wrong then went next tables and said it again the reason why because a random reason happened.

  13. 19 years in the business. Own my own place now. I have paid other servers for certain tables in their section so many times. Everyone wins!

  14. I would have said hmmmm, nope. Cuz I used to be a waitress too!! If another server came and said that, I would def wonder why too!

  15. lol thought this was gonna be about black market booze. or how bartenders refill bottles/water down booze.

  16. I would like make this drink The "Hannarita" is the ultimate Hannah Montana-inspired cocktail. This vibrant, nostalgic, and sweet-tart drink brings together the "best of both worlds" by pairing a bright berry-lime base with a pop-star-purple aesthetic. [1, 2, 3, 4]
    The Hannarita Recipe
To shake one up at home, you will need the following ingredients:

    • 2 oz. silver tequila
    • 2 oz. fresh lime juice
    • 5 fresh blackberries
    • Splash of soda water
    • Sweetener of choice (agave, simple syrup, or monk fruit)

    How to make it:

    1. Muddle the fresh blackberries in the bottom of a cocktail shaker.
    2. Add the tequila, lime juice, and your preferred sweetener.
    3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
    4. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
    5. Top with a splash of soda water and garnish with a lime wheel or extra blackberries. [5, 6, 7, 8]

Prefer a mocktail? You can easily create a non-alcoholic version by swapping the tequila for cooled butterfly pea flower tea (which gives it a magical, deep-purple hue) and using non-alcoholic sparkling wine or soda water. [9, 10]

  17. Nah girl I served for 25 plus years and always loved the kiddos. Treat them good, keep em happy and business will boom. One couple I knew so well I held their crying baby so they could eat. She calmed down and was so happy to check everything out ❤

  18. American tipping culture is insane. Like i'm not paying your employees, when i'm already being charged a ridiculous amount for my food and drinks.
