  2. For sisig, I like Inasal's sisig better than Lechon Republic's sisig. I came from Philippines btw. Inasal is in Lucky plaza 4th floor.

  3. Theres a Filipino stall at JEM Food court and I must say its pretty darn good. The Lechon they serve there will easily win a lot of roasted pork places in the vicinity. It was so crispy, that my friend and i could only hear one another's voices after we stop chewing.

  4. The pork sisig at My Kusina located at the shophouses opposite SGH is nice too. Havent been back there since i changed jobs but man do i miss the taste🤣

  5. Hello friend, I tried some Filipino dishes at Gerry’s grill Filipino restaurant in Singapore. 😊 Their garlic fried rice & Shanghai lumpiang are so mouthwatering. 👍 How are you all doing? 💜

  6. lechon in Don Lechon is better than Lechon Republic… skin is very tough in LR

  7. HAHAHA the intro cracked me up! thanks for doing this overkill team! as a filipino that grew up in SG its nice to see content about our food in the sg youtube scene. Solid idols

  8. 22:19 Huh? Boon Tong Kee really very nice what, it is indisputably one of the best chicken rice

    Crashout not valid 🥀

  9. Same with Ryan, the best lechon for me in singapore is Lechon Republic.

btw its not toyomansi. toyomansi is a combination of soysauce(toyo) and calamansi.

  10. back in the old days i think dee kosh would have loved this episode😂 i can hear his pinoy accent in my head throughout the video…

  11. Thank you for this great episode! Having a less featured cuisine makes the feel of this episode more light-hearted as none of the host ventures to be overtly critical in their "review" of the food, but were merely genuinly enjoying another SEA-bling's taste profiles 🙂

That said, i do think 16:47 is a good learning opportunity, especially for our younger audience here!

Before 16:47, Ryan commented that he has never tasted a bad lechon before. At 16:47, after having the first piece of (on-camera) lechon, he commented: "I stand corrected. I have never eaten a bad one – until now". This statement would actually mean that Ryan is admitting he was wrong about something that was alluded earlier – i.e. this is the first time he is tasting a bad lechon.

What he could have said, in casual Singaporean English, could be: "I am correct! Until now I have yet to taste a bad one."

Not a diss to Ryan and this channel, yeah! the mix of good (and ever improving) English languge with Singlish is what makes Ryan's content so good :). Thanks for the good work!

  12. Someone please drop Ben out of the show, he doesn’t like Tom yum soup… that offended me Sia. I don’t think Singaporean like Pinoy food. 😅

  13. Can do an episode on simple flavour cuisine? Like soups, porridge etc. For those who want to eat clean but not salad.

  14. You all don’t come Singapore eat BTK Chic rice lol. Alderic expression 😂

  15. About time! Filipino food is seriously under rated and it truly deserves a shout out! ang pinakamahusay na!
