Eating at Oiji Mi. One of the Most Popular Korean Michelin Starred Restaurants in NYC
I eat at and review Oiji Mi, which is located in the Flatiron District of New York City. Oiji Mi is a fine dining Korean restaurant with a Michelin star. For $150, guests are served a 5 course prix fixe menu. The restaurant is the product of Chef Brian Kim who also runs the Michelin starred bōm under the same roof as Oiji Mi.

The food portion looks small, are you full at the end of the meal?
Stunning cinematography. The sleek, understated beauty of the interior and the artistry of the plating are captured beautifully here—it perfectly reflects the refined contemporary concept of Oiji Mi! 🥢✨
You deserve to be fussed over. I’m sure restaurants that know of you appreciate your honest reviews just as we do.
Jua is the only michelin starred restaurant i’ve ever been to and i loved their meal, sad to hear that you couldn’t make it
The plate for the octopus reminded me of a diner salad bar. Not a fan of the way the crispy rice clusters with the fish coarse. Looked to much like bug eggs. But that's just my opinion.
The only channel I hype!!
Fyi. You can buy a michelin star.
I'm not sure about the 2, 3, 4 & 5.
But 1 star, def you can buy.
Great food and a great review.
I love your casual, honest, and informed reviews. A real fan who always more than looks forward to your next video!
Roscoe wants to remind you that you are a bit “rustic” yourself! Hahaha
What does Oiji MI recommend with regard to snow tires?
The Oiji bowl looked to be comfort food. Would you agree, or in actuality it is something else from your dining experience?
Happy Monday, James! Thank you for your work. I am going to have to create a separate budget for all of these wonderful places you are featuring on your channel. So be it, I deserve nice things😊😊😊😊😊😊! Have a great week, I appreciate you. I will hype the video as well, take care.
Dude, you're the Rick Steves of fine dining.
Michelin and korean doesn't mix. Lot of good things dont mix with korean
“Yum” from northcentral Indiana!
When you and UA doing a collab?
4:42 ya its called being drunk 🥴 haha joking glad you enjoyed your time!
Did you have any watercress this Spring/Summer? I don’t recall it in any of the restaurants you have visited this year…
I want to try this Korean restaurant so bad😅
Hamilton Khaki auto in black on a brown leather strap, and the food looked pretty good as well. Maybe they could come up with an all donut menu in honor of you James. Another good one!
I love that you are recognized & getting these perks!! Hard work pays off!! Another wonderful review! Thank you!!
Two handing that cocktail
You don't hear about lambic often, which is a shame because fruit lambics need more love.
Great video! After other sampling menus, you always need more food. Time to fess up where you headed to fill the belly (😂) after that snack meal. Just teasing 😅
This was super interesting. You paint a very great picture with your descritions of these unique dishes. (How great your waiter recognized you from Per Se. Observant person).😊
I dined there a couple of years ago and was very happy with the food and service. That sea urchin supplemental dish was worth the price. Thank you for another great review and especially for your transparency about the occasional perks of being recognized. More power to you. Keep these reviews coming! I really enjoy them.
Hamilton Khaki Field, very nice.
Your appreciation of the beautiful cuisine and complimentary bite & sip is always a joy. Fantastic stop on your food journey!
What a great looking meal! Your review was a delight, as always. Concise, texturally on-point, and wonderfully descriptive and executed flawlessly! ❤😂
i thought that was my korean name.. luigi vs oiji.. lol
cannot tell you how happy I was that you got the uni bowl
👋🇨🇦💞🔥👄
Hi James welcome back, thank you for sharing your dinner at “Oiji Mi” nothing beats being recognized at a restaurant, nice way to start off with that drink 🍷! Those dishes were nice a a little on the small size . What nice twist on a donut 🍩 with caviar! All those dishes looked like flavor bombs. I enjoyed this week’s food review James ! See you on the next one…

Another great video & I like the straight up honesty at the beginning how sometimes you just have to get something "cheaper" to keep the price reasonable. Picking the lowest $ drink not knowing it was very cool
Would heavily recommend Joo-ok. It would be a nice comparison as it's more of a fancier take on traditional Korean delicacies and I think the food is a tad better
Is this a good place to dine solo?
