People don't realise how much balls it takes to open multiple restaurants with completely DIFFERENT concepts/cuisines.
Hopefully his business remains strong amid the ME turmoil.
Singapore rarely gives opportunities like this to minority races. In an interview, this chef shared that he faced blatant racist comment from Chinese Singaporean who undermined him simply because he is Malay chef. Unfortunately, this is a reality that often gets ignored in Singapore, as the country prefers to show the image of being a meritocratic, multiracial society, at the expense of the minorities.
