  1. We're infamous for our junk food, but we have some incredible serious food scenes. Come to Portland, Oregon, one of the top 25 culinary cities in the United States! It is known for its micro-breweries, its coffee culture, its food carts, farm-to-table cuisine (with very, very local ingredients like our world-famous hazelnuts and berries), locally grown wine, ramen, artisan donuts, local artisan ice cream shops, and more!

  2. Loved watching this, your reactions are not exaggerated Chicago might have the best local staples in the whole country.

  3. Food coloring activates the placebo taste receptors of the tongue some say it's not real but if you believe its real it is real, it's like Santa

  4. Portillo’s was founded in 1963 by Dick Portillo, who started with a small hot dog stand called “The Dog House” in Villa Park, Illinois. It did not begin during the Great Depression.

  5. Hope you were able to get to Museum of Science and Industry, they have actual WWII U-Boat there, I believe they used to let you on it but not sure if they still do.

  6. Speaking of cool Gandalf t shirts, am I the only one who thinks these guys are straight up Merry and Pippin trapped in modern times? Pure goofy hobbit energy. 🫶🏼

  7. You guys HAVE to go to BurgerFi. They have the BEST onion rings ever – no unsheathing possible and they’re delicious and I don’t normally like onion rings, like Ollie. The burgers are good too. Pretty sure they’re a chain in a lot of places but if you come to the one in Cary, NC, I’ll meet y’all for lunch!!!

  8. Ollie's recall is pretty remarkable, shout out to Scott the anti salad guy lol.

  9. I literally had this cake at my wedding. My favorite chocolate cake, bar none.
    Glad y’all enjoy a Chicago fave from a far-from-home Chicagoan! ❤

  10. It unfortunately went downhill, it used to be REALLLLLY good like 10 years ago, but still, Portillos is still my absolute favorite!! The double cheeseburger is, imo, the best fast food burger in the U.S.

  11. I've never had a chicago dog, like the classic one they had first… and I know I wouldn't like it. I don't like pickles or relish, so sadly that one is just… definitely a 'no' for me. lol I'll stick to basically any other kind of hot dog, thanks. lol

  12. Hey, you have to go to Jim’s Original located along the Dan Ryan Expressway to get an authentic Chicago Polish Sausage with grilled onions. You also have to try their pork chop sandwich with grilled onions. Sorry, but Portillo’s is not the original. So says a Chicago Girl.

  13. Came as part of the Well-Actually Brigade…. the hot dogs were hot dogs but the Polish( Sausag)es aren't hot dogs. Polishes are literally the best sausages you've ever had and Poland thanks you.

  14. Ketchup isn't a condiment. It's an ingredient. The only people who put ketchup on things are small children or special needs adults.

  15. I've never been to Chicago. I live on a weee island off of NC's Coast. Yeah, that last part is useless trivia. What I wanted to say is that my favorite hotdog is a chili cheese dog w/ mayo. Yum!!!

  16. 10:32 Aw, h*ll no! If someone did that to my shake I would never go to there again.🤮 My favorite thing about Chicago foods is they don't try to ruin anything with mayonnaise.

  17. Portillos is for tourists and people from Naperville but tell you they live in Chicago.

    Beef: Johnnies
    Hot Dog: Weiner Circle
    Polish: Jim's
Burger: Plush Pup or Au Cheval
