try freezing your garlic! #shorts #cooking #cookingtips #kitchentips #cookinghacks #mealprep #food

I love garlic. A lot. And I really don’t mind mincing fresh cloves whenever I cook, but it also IS really nice to just do all this processing once every few weeks.

You can buy fresh, unpeeled garlic bulbs and peel them yourself, or you can do what I did and buy a 1-lb container of peeled garlic from @Hmartofficial!

Instructions:
1️⃣ Give the peeled garlic a rinse and pat dry
2️⃣ Optional: Cut the bottoms off of each clove
3️⃣ Put garlic into a blender or food processor and blend to your desired consistency (if you use a blender like I did, you may need to process the garlic in batches to make sure every clove is blended)
4️⃣ Pour minced garlic into a gallon size ziploc bag and press so that it’s one flat layer; press all the air out of the bag and seal
5️⃣ Use a ruler or bench scraper to gently make indentations so that you have about 1”x1” squares (be careful not to tear the bag!)
6️⃣ Freeze on a flat surface for at least 4 hours, break a square of garlic off any time you’re cooking!
