    Homies on Donkeys in Leytonstone is absolutely incredible. It started as a tiny stall in my local indoor market. The Bone marrow & chuck is genuinely special. Shout out to Mestizo near Euston too! There's a Mexican grocery store next door for those hard to find ingredients

    I was a huge fan of the old Taqueria in NH, the menu now just isn’t the same! Also, Dgrande Chiswick is worth a visit!

    i like the tortilla discourse in this video. the interesting lore is its largly tied to geography – corn grows better where it rains so southern mexico 9literally the yucatan and south is rainforest). its brought up in the video that the aztecs liked corn and they used their lake chinapas to keep them watered. northern mexicos arid which wheat grows better in. …. 🤓🤓🤓

    (i think a good corn is soooo much beetter than good flour but if we're just talking storebought.. flours the play those el paso corn ones just are bland and break without holding anything)

    Daddy Donkey's in Leather Lane near Farringdon station is a place I like to get burrito's from nice portion size and tasty. Only issue is I'm currently broke and about an hour's commute away from the place.

    This AI background noise reduction makes the video seem a bit robotic. Sometimes background noise is good! It'll give the video a bit more atmosphere and make your voices more natural.

    Born and bred Texan here- I had surprisingly good nachos in '97 from a place in South Kensington called Texas Lone Star- a quick search says it closed a few decades ago, though lol

    It was true you could not get good Mexican food in the UK in the past except for places like Mestizo which is more of a restaurant experience rather than street food. In recent years a few places have opened mainly in London with traditional taquerias. The issue in the UK is that brits have been brainwashed by US propaganda in thinking Mexican food is Tex-mex burritos and fajitas, which is wrong, completely wrong! Other places like Wahaca have tried to introduce a kind of taco and Mexican food but again, they have mixed it with other flavours/ingredients to make it more palatable to anglo audiences which takes it away from a true authentic experience of proper Mexican food. I'm glad more Mexicans are opening good places to eat proper Mexican food like La Familia Taqueria in Soho and many others.

    Your guide is welcome to his wrong opinion about tortillas and I respect him for it but flour tortillas are the better tortillas.
