GREENVILLE — Enlo, Greenville’s next dining destination, has officially set an opening date: Sept. 22.

The much-anticipated restaurant will serve five- and eight-course tasting menus, setting it apart from other Greenville restaurants.

Described as a contemporary expression of Southern hospitality that pairs refined technique with unexpected combinations, Enlo’s first menu features dishes like sweet potato brioche with cultured butter, lamb with huckleberry and salsify, and preserved apricot with fig leaf and coconut.

The restaurant is the product of Chef Nico Abello and Table 301 president and restaurateur Carl Sobocinski.

Abello, who was born outside of Paris, cut his chops in Michelin-star restaurants in France and New York, according to previous Post and Courier reporting. In 2016, he opened the New York restaurant L’Appart as executive chef, earning a Michelin star within six months.

He came to Greenville in 2021 to work at the Grand Bohemian Lodge. He joined Table 301 in 2022.

Table 301 is the restaurant group behind such Greenville staples as Soby’s, The Jones Oyster Co. and The Nose Dive.

When Abello and Sobocinski announced Enlo in 2025, they said they wanted to bring a new dining experience to Greenville, something that would be worthy of a Michelin star.

Since then, Michelin unveiled its first guide in the American South, in which Scoundrel earned Greenville its first star.

Enlo will be in a newly renovated, 52-seat dining room in Riverplace with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Reedy River.

In a press release, the restaurant said Abello would combine classical French techniques with unexpected flavor combinations. The menu will change monthly, and they are prix fixe, starting at $125 for the five-course meal and $175 for the eight-course meal.
