There not fries there chips
I do like vinegar and salt on my fries
It’s funny that we show them all this amazing food, then they literally show us a snack we make at 3am because we’re too lazy to actually make something 😂
As British food goes, a chip butty actually looks pretty good,. Mushy peas is exactly as expected and exactly as miserable as it looks – and it looks like most vegetables cooked in my 60's school cafeteria for the free lunch.
This would just infuriate me.
We do that as a poboy in New Orleans but we put roast beef debris on it with cheese.
Winter Is coming mush the peas
Somebody has forgotten my hamburger 😂 is so accurate 😂
Y'all are ridiculous for allowing yourselves to be scammed out of a hamburger 😂
Who’s watching this on Saturday, March 7, 2027? Let’s see those likes! 👇
Shite buty.
That type of pea is what we call English peas. They aren’t very popular, at least in the Southeastern U.S. We lean more toward black eyed peas and purple hull peas and snap peas.
Not to be rude, but y’all can keep those peas.
If their was fish as well, I can see the appeal. But, it doesn't, sooo… Why bother

Looks like something I'd make after drinking too much. 😂
I have a freakish love of peas, business businessso yes I do like mushy peas !
Southerners… a butty is just a sandwich, you can have a ham butty or a cheese butty if it’s just in between two slices of bread this is a chip barm because it’s in a barm cake it’s only a chip butty when it’s between two pieces of sliced bread.
Americans Vs vegetables 😂
It wouldn't have surprised me if it was invented in the U.S. Glad we're not the only ones coming up with something so unhealthy.
Ollie, we need a fact attack on the origins of Fish & Chips + mushy peas 😅. Who came up with it??
Na that’s a chip bap lad you went to close to Scotland 😅
people in America absolutely do use vinegar on fries. It’s not as common as ketchup, but you can even get the vinegar for your fries at five guys.
If mushy peas taste anything like pea soup then count me out. I like fresh peas, though.
I do love malt vinegar on fries. I always appreciate 5 guys for having it
I understand why a chip butty would taste good, but I can’t imagine why you’d eat it. It’s just carbs on top of carbs. There’s no nutritional value there at all. I mean I get eating fries. I get putting your burger on a bun. But why even bother with the bun? Just eat the French fries if you’re going to do it and save yourself a few hud red calories.
Or get some actual meat and throw it on that bun.
British food is… kind of stupid, to be honest.
And this is coming from an American. We’re not exactly known for our health food.
It’s all about the butter ffs !
Oh, my goodness! Interesting, to say the least. 😮 The vinegar on fries sounds tasty-ish. 👍😍
Wow. That food really is just modern-day, medieval, peasant survival food, isn’t it?😂
Holy carb overload!! and I thought comfort food in the US was indulgent!!
Loved chip butties when I was a kid, haven't had one in years. Mushy peas aren't bad either. Same foodies who act all grossed out by them probably also wax enthusiastic over raw fish wrapped in seaweed (sushi/sashimi), rotten cabbage (kimchi), and mashed chickpeas (hummus). All of which are also really good, the only thing that makes a difference to these mostly white mostly American foodies is exoticism.
I hate to admit it but mushy peas was one of my favorite things when I spent a week in London.
And Brits say we have no food culture.
Blechh!
this much starch would give me hiccups
Here in the states, we call mushy peas, split pea soup.
No wonder we smoked their asses in the revolutionary war
