ive never had thai food thats spicy. i mean, its delicious with a hint of spice. if you want spicy, try lao food. xian and szechuan food is pretty spicy too. thats probably the region in south asia that has decent spicy food. but honestly. nothing beats mexican chile. we replace thai chile with mexican chile, like ancho, and it brings the dish up a notch.
Pad thai is really an American dish. It's not common in Thailand. Thai food is generally spicy, I think northern Thailand dishes and jungle curries are crazy spicy.
"I was taken aback by how the dishes were prepared. An authentic Panang curry typically doesn't use chicken and tomatoes, and Tom Kha usually features a different type of meat. Larb should not contain carrots, and I noticed a complete absence of chili powder, which is why it wasn't spicy. The Pad Thai was missing chili as well. The Som Tum was especially heartbreaking for me because it deviated entirely from the traditional recipe and didn't have any chili. It feels like the flavors have been toned down significantly for foreigners, making it quite bland for Thai locals. I sincerely hope you get to try real, authentic Thai food someday."
Speaking as a Thai, the color of this food tells me that if you open a restaurant with this style in Thailand, it'll most likely fail. Just by the color alone, it only meets about 50% of the standard
You ordered spicy, not Thai spicy. All thai restaurants I've been to have regular spicy and Thai spicy. I will never order Thai spicy again. Did it once and my plate was half chilies
That is SHITTY Thai food – bland. Why is the alarm in an effing lettuce leaf? Why is the Pad Kaprao so bland? It should fiery. Where is the chili in the Tom Yum? It should make you sweat and cry. The papaya salad should make you cry also. This is idiotic
Presenting a clip with only two people doesn't accurately reflect the spiciness of Thai food. More importantly, the food they provided to sample wasn't authentic Thai cuisine 100%

ในฐานะที่เป็นคนไทยดูไม่ออกเลยว่ามันคืออาหารไทย
For Thai people , it look fiunny when people think it's spicy,
but for us , it look like canteen food for children who can't eat spicy.
